Brake Disc Break-In
Ensures maximum performance and longevity after you've installed KVR Performance Brakes rotors on Your Ride:

1. Bring vehicle speed up to approx 30 mph ( 50 kmh )

2. Apply Moderate brake pressure ( Not hard, but not soft either )

3. Reduce speed to 5 ~ 10 mph ( 8 ~ 16 kmh ), Note: you are not trying to stop, rather just slow down

4. Repeat steps 1 - 3, 7 to 8 times.

5. Allow vehicle to cool for approx 45 ~ 60 min. Do Not Apply Handbrake

Brake Pad Break-In
If discs are not new - resurface discs to 40 ~ 60 RMS

1. Use Brake Disc Break-In procedure outlined in the Previous Tech Tip.

2. Upon completion of step 1, you may notice smoke coming from the calipers - this is normal.

3. The KVR brake pads are now 75% bedded, for the next 70 miles ( 112 kms ) the brake pads will fully bed with normal stop and go driving.

NOTE: Off road / Racing applications may have their own, specific procedures for bedding.
